Villa eugénie is a premier special events company whose expertise and poetic sensibility was first established in the worlds of luxury, fashion and beauty, and is increasingly sought out by the many creative sectors shaping contemporary culture and the digitally driven world.
With 20 years of experience, the company has orchestrated the creative conception and production of over 800 fashion shows across the world and has an astonishing list of long-term clients: Dior Homme, Chanel, Lanvin, Moncler, Hermès, Miu Miu, Kenzo and Dries Van Noten, for whom Etienne Russo (founder of villa eugénie) has produced every single presentation since the designer’s debut in 1991.
At Base Design, we were more than happy to collaborate with villa eugénie to create a new identity and online showcase for villa eugenie. Our goal was to build a highly conceptual experience and embrace innovation, just like the work of our client.
Part of the identity was the usage of two typefaces where one was used solely to present projects, and the other for talking about villa eugénie. To further emphasise this idea, we divided the frontpage into two panels. When toggling a project, the panel opens up and images within the project start panning automatically, mimicking the experience of watching a live event.
